Once upon a time, in a green forest filled with tall trees, colorful flowers, and singing birds, there lived a little elephant named Elu. Elu loved splashing water in the river and playing under shady trees. But what everyone loved most about Elu was his kind heart and his honesty.
All the animals trusted Elu because he always spoke the truth.

One sunny morning, while walking near the riverbank, Elu noticed something shining in the sand. He gently pushed the sand aside with his trunk.
Cling! Cling!
It was a beautiful golden bell. The river flowed quietly beside him, and birds chirped softly from the trees above.
Elu looked left. He looked right. No one was there.
โThis bell doesnโt belong to me,โ Elu said softly. โI must find its owner.โ

Just then, Milo the Monkey swung down from a nearby tree.
โWow, Elu!โ Milo laughed. โThat bell is shiny and beautiful. Why donโt you keep it? You found it!โ
Elu held the bell carefully and shook his head.
โIf I lost something special,โ Elu said, โI would feel very sad. Keeping it would not be right.โ
Milo scratched his head and smiled. โYouโre right, Elu. You always choose the right thing.โ

Elu decided to ask everyone in the forest.
First, he met Dara the Deer, who was drinking water near the bushes.
โIs this your bell?โ Elu asked politely.
Dara shook her head gently. โNo, Elu, itโs not mine. But thank you for being honest.โ
Next, Elu met Rina the Rabbit near her burrow.
Rina looked carefully at the bell and said, โIt doesnโt belong to me. I hope you find the owner.โ
Elu even asked the birds sitting high in the trees.
They chirped happily, โWe have seen that bell beforeโฆ near the big banyan tree.โ
Elu thanked everyone and continued his journey.

As Elu walked farther, dark clouds filled the sky. Soon, soft rain began to fall. The forest grew quiet, and Eluโs feet became muddy.
He felt tired and a little worried.
โWhat if I never find the owner?โ Elu thought sadly.
For a moment, Elu felt like turning back. Then he remembered his motherโs words:
โHonesty is not always easy, but it is always right.โ
Elu lifted his head, held the bell close, and kept walking.

Soon, Elu reached the big banyan tree at the center of the forest. Under it sat Leo the Lion, the wise king of the forest.
Elu bowed politely and showed him the bell.
โI found this near the river,โ Elu said. โI asked everyone, and they said it might belong to you.โ
Leoโs eyes widened with joy.
โMy bell!โ he said happily. โI lost it yesterday.โ

The rain stopped, and sunlight filled the forest again.
Leo smiled warmly and said, โYou could have kept this bell, but you chose honesty. That is very brave.โ
He gave Elu a basket of sweet fruits and added, โMore important than this reward, you have earned everyoneโs trust.โ
Elu walked home with a light heart and a big smile.
